Any range reports from this boolit? Interested in the tapered design but would like to hear from folks using it and their thoughts on lubing it and range results from an"06".

Thanks, Longone

Well, at this point I'm inclined to think that either people have bought these molds because they are shiny and look pretty and don't want to get them dirty or they are too busy casting with them making piles of boolits and can't tear themselves away to reply.

Which category do you think is most likely?

I own the SAECO version. I've shot it in my 06' and it is a " nail driver ". However recently we ordered the NOE version from Swede. We ( My shooting friend Bryan and I ) have already cast several bullets with the mold. The drive bands and nose diameters on our NOE mold are just about perfect. I shot this a few days ago with the NOE 311175's out of my friend Bryan's rifle.

The load was 17.0 grs. SR 4759 , bullet sized .311 "
Ruger All American, 308 Winchester.

He will most likely hunt white-tails with this bullet this fall and winter. The NOE 311175 is shooting good enough right now to bring home the meat !

Did you get a chance to chrono that load yet?

I'm still waiting on the chronograph results too. I'm guessing 1600 fps.

With all due respect, I only see 4 rounds on the target. It looks like the round at 6 o'clock was shot after the one in the center of the group producing the allusion (by the tear) that there are two holes close to each other. The remaining two rounds cut oblong holes in the target because of its curved surface.

I shot some out of my O3A3 today. Shot our gongs @100yds. Didn't put up a paper target because of all the melting snow and didn't want to get stuck in the mud downrange. Shot 7 rounds and had a nice cluster on the gong about 3" in dia. 37.5gr surplus 4895. 20mph wind and open sights. At my age, not bad.
