Over the weekend my wife and I were in Alpine Texas at a gunshow and I found a 1917/1920 DWM Luger for sale. The price tag said $225.00. I rubbed my eyes and looked again. Yep,225 alright. So, just to be sure I wasn't having a senior monent,I picked it up.........$225.00........sure enough. A fellow asks to see it,"not until I'm thru looking, thank you." A young fellow who appears to be helping the table owner asks if I need any help,"Yes,why so cheap? I ask" Miss matched numbers he replys. It's a Weimar remark from 1920 when the Republic remarked all the war/military guns. All the part numbers match including the clip!

I am exstatic!!! Oh,and the holster comes with it too! Am I lucky guy or what!!!!

It's a NZ picture.;>)

Wow, beyond bargin. Better go out and get some lottery tickets... but I suspect you've used up all your luck for the rest of the century. Congrats.

Wow, the nerve of some people! He steals a gun and then comes on a shooting forum and openly brags about!

Congrats on finding the deal of the century, there's going to be a lot envious people here including me.

VERY SWEET DEAL! The natural pointability of a Luger is legendary, Bill Ruger tried to copy it in designing his .22 auto way back when he first started making his pistols.Robert

I had al old friend who is a Luger guru call this morning and said he had me a spare clip. An old wooden bottom model to boot.
I left for work early and had him give it a look over. He pronounced it A-1, all correct with an old refinish job. I am truely a lucky guy.
And I belong to the best forum on the net. Thank guys, you are collectively the best resource on the web.

Deals like that don't grow on trees. The seller priced it, you paid his price. P.T. Barnum does not apply in this case. I've had a few deals of this sort over the years--none anywhere near this good--but if your line is always cast, bites will occur. The object here is to keep fishing.

Actually, he used the Japanese Nambu pistol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nambu_pistol) according to the wiki page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nambu_pistol) on it.
