I've had this mold for some time and this weekend decided to load a few rounds. I'm using a Lyman 429640 HP and they took awhile to get going but they are looking really good. But looking for load data in my books hasn't been the easiest. Nothing in my Hornady or Sierra but i did find some loads in my Lee for 265gr jacketed. I'm wondering if this would be a good starting point for some loads. Since I have a stockpile of Blue Dot I was going to try 11.6gr to get things going. Anybody see a glaring error in my decision? And if you have a pet load for this bullet please share it.

My pet load for this boolit design (which has been modified to remove the gas check shank) is 17g of WC 820, CCI-350 primer, OAL of 1.710. Velocity is 1120-1150 from a 5" S&W Classic DX. Sorry I can't help you with Blue Dot, I don't use it. I don't have anything against it, just never used it in the .44 mag. You might send a PM to Larry Gibson, as I recall, he's a user of Blue Dot in the .44 mag.

Well thanks for the reply. I found a few loads with H110 so i might just head that direction.

Yesterday I fired several rounds thru my 5" Classic DX with 18.0g of H-110 and my MP-433-300HP at 292g;some with an aluminum gas check and some sans check and achieved a decent 1.08" 9 shot group with the gas checked rounds. The 9 rounds I had loaded of the same boolit sans check went into 2.133" but 8 of them were in 1.206". This was at 25 yds from a bench with a 4x Leupols EER scope. Velocity was 1081 for the gas checked rounds and 1073 for the rounds with the gas check shank filled with Lar's Red.

Sounds like H110 is the way to go then. I'll save the Blue Dot for the shotgun loads.
