Will be loading some 41 mag with full wad cutters in the 200 grain range, also some hollow base wad cutters, however I'm just not to sure what's a good powder and a powder charge, anybody got any ideas, any and all is appreciated. Thanks

Hello,

I used 3.5 grs Bullseye. Maybe not the best but it worked pretty well.

My load for the 210 gr in the .44 mag was 4.0 grs and this might work for the .41 also, but I never tried it.

Still grateful to you for the 7mm STW brass a couple of years ago. Hope the above gets you started.

Steve

How are you seating the bullets, i'm looking at maybe seating them flush with the case, that is the h-base ones, the other bullet has I think 2 or 3 crimp groves.

I load a AM 196gr Button nose WC sized to .411 with 6.5gr. red dot in 41 Mag.
COL was 1.450" and sits up against the throats in my Ruger BH.

I shot a Lee 210 WC in the .41 Magnum (Model 57)....7.0 grains of Bullseye or Red Dot..very accurate.

They are very scarce....mine is a Lee DC 210 that I bought in the 80's....I take loving care of it. However don't despair...the Lee 195 SWC is very close IMHO to it.

Needs a little work (missing washer for sprue)
I have case with it just a handful.
I cast for my 41 with my master caster.

While a cheap Lee 41 WC might be scarce. You can get a mold just like mine without waiting more than a week or two from Accurate Molds.
Bullet design #41-190W
Weight as cast in wheel weight alloy: 190 grains

There are other designs, or he can probably make a custom design to your specs.

I've the Lee TL410-175-SWC and the TL410-210-SWC that I've used for years in several .41s both S&Ws and Rugers. I use 5 & 6 gr Bullseye respectively for very excellent loads, both easy shooting and accurate.

Lee TL410-175-SWC and the TL410-210-SWC

Just so happens that I have a full pan of both sitting within arms reach right now waiting to be lubed and loaded.

I stumbled onto this post and what a coincidence, I also just picked up an 8# jug of BE that I split with a friend.

I have been using a light load of 2400 under the 210's which shoot almost into the same hole at 25yds out of my Redhawk. Can't wait to load up and try out the 175's.
