I know what your thinkin :-)
No, not as a black powder lube.
But, I was wondering if any here have used it on the nose of a bore rider after the bullets been seated?
Just something to lubricate the nose on it's journey down the barrel.

Yep, works fine; I sometimes even cut it 50% with mineral spirits.

Not Alox but have been to known to lube some caliber bullets with Rooster Jacket liquid lube, especially PP ones

In one of Mathews books he gives the recipes for a bullet dip to lube bore riders with. I normally wipe a light coat of emmerts improved on them when removing it from the case after seating the bullets. I use the emmerts in a grease cookie undeer paper patched bullets so there is some on the outside of the cases from cutting the cookies. A cleaning patch spreads this onto the exposd patch and nose of the bullet. Same could be done with SPG.
Emmerts Improved lube is 50% beeswax 40% crisco shortening ( un salted) 5% canola oil and 5% anahydrous lanolin.
