It is one of the finest military Mausers EVER made as to build quality. Expect great
accy with Hornady 175 RN jbullets and a LARGE groove diam, like .287 to .288 so
that you need an oversized or beagled mold for boolits.

You got a steal if it is in top condition. Many were imported in the 60s that were
virtually unfired. I have a DWM and a Loewe version - Mausers were made by
Loewe originally until they changed their name to Deutche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken,
known as DWM. DWMs typically require paperwork, Loewe's do not.

Fine old rifle.

I currently have a Loewe version. Bought it through the mail for less than $100.00 back in the early '90's..... Wish I picked up a few more back then.

You'll find a fair amount of info on these around the forum. As Bill mentions above, most are larger than typical 7mm j-words. I struggled with that initially when shooting cast in the thing until I figured out mine was about .286 or so. The .285 sizing die did not work out for me, so I learned to shoot "as cast" from my mold.

You'll love it! congrats.
