My daughter gave birth to my first grand kid. Bailey Erica Alice Risher initials BEAR. 5 pounds 10 oz and 18 inches. Both my daughters had a tiny bit of venison as their first non milk food. I am heading to Wyoming next month for antelope hunting and then to Seattle to see my grand daughter. Looks like BEARs first taste will be antelope.

You thought you would do anything to protect one of your children, with grandchildren this feeling is much more acute, I have 7 now, 4 girls 3 boys.

Congratulations!!! I went out and bought a Chipmunk 22 the same day my first Grandchild was born . He turned 21 last month and enjoys shooting, reloading and casting as much as i do. I hope you enjoy your Grandchilden as much as I have mine.

Grand kid are the best! As the old saying goes "If I had known how much fun grand childern were I would have started with them first". We have 17 grand kids and 4 great grand kids. It's too bad that most of them are spread all over the country.

Congrats! Just remember a grandparent is a device so simple a child can operate with ease and they do!

We had a sign we gave to my dad "More kids are spoiled because you can't spank Grandpa!" Looking forward to my turn.

Congrats, your daughter is doing well I trust?

I love the grand babies. Its easy to spoil them (2 of the 5 live w/me so they don't get spoiled so much).
I've labled guns for all 9 kids and grands and 2 steps.

Started spoiling my first over 15 years ago. Now there are four and I'm still spoiling them. I'm lucky enough to have mine all within hand shaking distance and see them each every day.
Your first, and those to follow, are about to change life, as you've known it.
Congrats and enjoy the ride.

Being "PopPop" is the best job I ever had. Best get a high MPG vehicle now ! I've never went a whole month yet w/o seeing my almost 3 year old grandson, but at least his Mom has moved back in the same state now. If you don't use it yet - Skype is great !

Being a grandfather is great fun. I am fortunate that mine are close and I get to see them regularly. It seems that grandkids are easier to spoil than your kids!

Oops, gotta go! The youngest is coming in the door now!
