Looking at BACO molds for casting a hunting boolit our of my 45-2.1. Trying to choose between their 425 grain FP grease groove (http://www.buffaloarms.com/ThumbnailHandler.ashx?MediaID=42079&size=150)

and their 485 grain FP grease groove (http://www.buffaloarms.com/ThumbnailHandler.ashx?MediaID=42081&size=150).

My gun is Pedersoli so it has about .300 freebore and then 1:18 twist 32" barrel. Wondering if 425 grains would be long enough to be stabilized by the 1:18 twist.

Hunting whitetails so either boolit will be plenty, but want to be as accurate as possible.

Your 1-18 twist will not give its best accuracy with the 425 grain bullet. THE bullet of choice is the Lyman 457121. It is a 480 grain FN, and shoots lights out. I have used it in my Pedersolis, and in Africa out of my 18 twist Shiloh 45-70. It is a deadly hunting bullet, and with a compressed charge of 66.5 grains of KIK 3f, gives 1242 fps and an extreme spread of 8fps. It is a lot better to have an accurate bullet that shoots out of a 65 dollar mold than one that may or may not out of a mold that is north of a hundred bucks.

my hunting boolit is a boolit from 'Accurate Molds'. it is a number 460400 and throws a nice flatnose boolit at 409 grains with my lead mix of approx. 20-1 lead tin. this boolit does well in all my 45-70's and does fair in my 45-120 Shiloh. this boolit has copious lube capability and seems to be deadly on moose and bears here in Alaska. I load for a guide friend of mine and between the RCBS 45-500 FN GC and this accurate mold he has done in some animules with both.

loads his marlin with the ultra kickin 540 grain RCBS ahead of RL-7 [bear medicine in camp at night]... and hunts with the 409 grain accurate boolit. I load him IMR 3031 in the 409 grain and it does a great job so far on anything he has put his marlin sights on.
