OK... Because I'm paranoid about modifying "stock" guns, I ordered a spare barrel set for a .38 Cobra Derringer and asked that it be factory throated for CCI .38 Shot Cartridges. (I need a pocket Snake Gun).

Well, I got it from them (a whopping $60) and they DID throat ONE of the two barrels to take the CCI Shot cartridge, but not both . Oh well.

Still, I DID want both throats opened, so rather than whine & send the barrel back, I google'd up https://www.reamerrentals.com/.

There I found a 3 day rental for a .358 throat reamer for $15, and added a "T handle" (I don't have a lathe) for an additional $10.

Order placed Thurs PM. Total, $44.00 (rent, shipping & insurance)

I picked up the reamer at my POB at 2pm today, and had the throat cut, by hand, and the reamer back in the pre-paid "flat rate" box by 2:45.

I am a VERY happy camper....

These folks seem to be the real deal.

What is the T-handle drive like? Anything I might have or easily make?

If you can make the T handle, you probably don't need a reamer...

Honestly, all it is is a T handle... a hunk of Rod in a T shape with a fitting on the end where you can insert the chuck-end of a Reamer and tighten it down with a couple of set-screws.

Nothing fancy, but it allows you to turn the reamer in the chamber by hand.
