A 10 lb. poodle/Chihuahua mix took the bite of a 2 foot rattlesnake in place of an 11 year old girl. The snake was coiled up ready to bite when Psycho Dog ran in front of Maya Delarosa and took the bite to his left eye. The snake got him in the eyelid but the venom was strong enough that he lost his eye and had to have it removed. His vet bills are adding up and already they are over $1,500.00. He has more follow up appointments and may need more medication. If I can raise approximately $2,000.00 to cover his cost then any excess will be donated to the Eastwood Animal Clinic to help someone else that may need it.

Just goes to prove a dog loves its family more than it loves its self. It is nice to see a news story that make you smile instead of vomit. Thanks for posting,FB

And this is another reason why dogs are better than cats. ;)

I donated. As many beggars approach me and deadbeats are always calling for one thing or another, this poor animal did more than any of them and its owner could use some help. As I said in my note, a brave and loyal companion. We have a lot of dogs in the military that not only lay their life on the line, daily, some are called to give their life, which they do with no hesitation.
