I was looking at this mold.

It looks like it is created to be tumble lubed or lubed with a regular lube.

Any one have any info about this Boolit design?

Thanks

I asked Tom at Accurate to design that one for me a few years ago for Kimber 1911s, was having issues with the overly-proud slide locks being snagged prematurely by cartridges that walked forward in the magazine due to insufficient COAL or wrong nose shape, and/or boolits that were too "fat" toward the base right in front of the case mouth. It is based on the Lee tumble-lube 230-grain boolit, but minus the bevel base, and I provided two lube grooves spaced so that they can be lubes simultaneously in a Lyman die if the middle band is centered in one plane of holes so lube flows on either side. I like to plug all but one plane of holes in the H-dies to prevent goobered bases. Also note that the nose shape is exactly matched to fit the curve on the front of 1911 magazines. Seat them to 1.265" and they'll shoot in anything.

Thank you for the info.

I have a Kimber, I had to replace the slide lock. So I understand what your talking about!

I just might buy a mould with that boolit design.

Thanks again.
