I surely would be there but it is 180 miles one way to the nearest shop.

Unfortunately, Texas is still throwing off the yoke of Yankee Imperialism and as such, we do not have open carry of handguns. Carrying concealed doesn't really make much of a statement. Of course, we can carry a rifle or shotgun pretty much anywhere we want to.

Never knew there was such a place.

I don't often go to starbucks, but I did this morning.

No protesters, just overpriced coffee.

Starbucks has asked repeatedly not to be put in the middle of the gun debate.

I will be respecting their wishes.

It's their choice as a business to have this policy. It's your choice as a consumer whether you use their service. Just vote with your feet. Making a big issue in the media is not likely to help the firearms cause. It just feeds the antigun lobby.

Same for Ohio. ;)

We am not likely to make a habit of them but we had to give it a go today to show our support.
We can get a Large bag of Premium beans for less than we spent on three coffees but that was not the point today!
Certainly was good stuff but very pricey.

"Many moms are unaware that if they take their children to Starbucks, their children may be standing next to a customer who has a loaded weapon," says Shannon Watts, founder of the non-profit group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America

Yes, and they could also be standing next to a child molester, rapist, embezzler or a white collar criminal. You have no way of knowing. Personally I would rather be beside someone who is carrying a gun. I would feel a lot safer! As far as I can tell, Starbucks has never had an accidental discharge in their stores involving a CCW customer.

You can't prove a negative.

I heard about this and while I normally don't do Starbucks I did get a Venti from the one in our local Barnes and Nobel store, 1911 open carried, as it always is. On our way out a couple of ladies were coming in, one said "Open carry, all right!" I just replied "Yes ma'am"

And the cleck said ''what model is that ? '' XD40. ''Oh Springfield, good pieces. Mines a Glock in 45''. Not 1 customer even blinked more than to glance and acknowledge mine and look to see if the clerck was open or CC.

I don't frequent the stores much ,the turbo coffee is bad for my BP,but I have a decent stash of their pre pack put away mostly clearance/sale stuff.
