Congrats to Mom and family. Now that is out of the way, what .22 rifle have you picked out for him?

Right now his other grandfather has a Cricket for his big brother. I have, believe it or not, a Daisy 22! That has an adjustable stock. Or, I could just start them out with the Ruger Single Six, like I did his Dad and Uncle.

What a GREAT new avitar.

Many years from now you can show the little one just how proud "Grandfather was" when you graced us with your presence.

Again congratulations to the whole family.

I must join the others and offer my congradulations for "your" accomplishment. (you did play a part in it). Now your job officially begins. I'll bet you know what to do. Enjoy every minute.

One thing I recommend to new parents and especially grandparents is to start a notebook for the youngest in the family and write down all the family history that you know. Too soon you will be gone and if you don't write it down the things you know will be gone also. Start out by listing all the names, dates and locations of all the relatives you remember; this will be a treasured resource if future generations ever try to look up their genealogy. Then write down your memories of your life; wouldn't you love to read what your grandparents or great grandparents did when they were growing up?

Family histories begin with someone taking the first step. Do it for your grandchildren.
