I always buy the 30 cal cans.
I can fit 500 45acp, 357s,9mms 40s in them. On bigger rounds like 41 mag or 45 colt its only 300.
I bag them in 4x6 plastic bags 50 per bag.

I need 20 more cans...

La Joe is right. About $15 locally...a little less on line but the shipping is what kills you. There're great to keep everything water tight. Get them in 30 cal, 50 cal, 40mm or whatever you never can have enough ammo cans!!

On sale till the end of the month at Midway $17.99 Haven't tried them personally but I guess they don’t have much else to put in the monthly sales flier....

Thanks guys. I seen some at a LGS for $22 and was just wondering if that was a bad price. I guess it's not to bad and wouldn't cost any more then buying a few and having them shipped. I think I'll go ahead and 3 at the LGS.

I used to get some very good deals by buying 8 cans at a time off of fleabay. Both the 50 and 30 cal size.
These were good cans, almost unissued condition from some dealers. No rust or dents on the ones
I got that way. Many cans at gun shows had rust and asking far more, so I quit buying at the shows.

Have not bought since last year, so prices may be higher for bulk buys these days.

EDIT: Just checked one current auction 8 cans at $64 plus $38.71 shipping to here. Comes to
$12.84 per can, so they are a bit more expensive than a year ago.

I lucked out and found some for $8ea that were in minty condition, those usually run 15-20 around here.

I have a bad habit about finding old rusty ones at garage sales and auctions and buying them for $5 bucks or so and cleaning them up and usually repainting them. I've got several flavors, from black, to od green to pink and purple, and a couple with flowers on them...They all do the job they were designed for and my daughters get to help dad

Had to add a pic of one of the first 'colorful' cans, albeit only a .30cal can.

I bought a box of new 30 cal cans from Weidners. With shipping it came out to $14 per can. The used ones are $10 by me and I have to sort through them. And even if they look good it doesn't mean the seals are good. Worth the extra money to me. New 50 cans sell for right around $17.
