IF this is not the place for this then please move it to where it belongs.
I stopped by the local scrap yard today for some WW ( they were out but should get some by weeks end)and the had sorted range brass for sale. I bought 10lbs for 2.95 / lb of mixed 38/357. Got home and checked the quantity and there was 930! that works out to 3.23 per hundred! Going back to check on 45acp and 380 acp brass later this week. Did I get hurt?

As long as the brass is in decent shape you did good! 3.2 cents a case is scrap brass price. When the brass you bought gets old, sell it back to them as scrap.

That was a good deal. As an aside, when I sell my used up brass to the scappers I smash it. The scrap dealers could care less, but it keeps anyone who reloads from thinking it's good brass.

Wow, you did good! Cheap brass to use then resell back to the scrap yard. Great deal.

When does it get old?? I have .38 and .30-06 brass that is older than me. Mild loads shooting cast and lasts a long long time.

Sensai, Thats a good idea. I would not want another reloader trying to use some of the stuff that I scrap. I just started using stainless steel media to clean with. That stuff can make a scrap case look like new, like I mean its scary! Lightman

This is why I never buy brass from a scrap yard. The only cases I take there are either berdan primed or wore out. W/ pistol brass it's not as big of a risk. Rifle brass is different ballgame.
