I bought a new Hoch mould recently and received it today for the 38-55. It's a 310 gr bullet and it looks good but the instructions are a bit baffling. They say to "Use a good mould prep or mould release containing graphite completely covering the mould inside and out, especially the cavity, and the top and bottom spree plates."
Inside the cavity? I don't know about that. I may have to bypass that recommendation. I've never had to put anything in the cavity before and although I'm sure they know what they're talking about I may have to try it without doing that. I don't have any mould release with graphite anyway. I have two containers of Bull Shops sprue lube but I don't think I want to put tat in the cavities.
