Part wanted

I am in need of the bolt for a Mossberg model 44US(a). The bolt is unique to this model and will work on 44US (b) (c) &(d) but not vice-versa. I've been told that the model 44US military trainer (US Property marked) bolts will work. Anybody out there have one for sale? Thanks.

There is a Mossberg Collectors' Association that has a rather active For Sale and Wanted list at the back of their quarterly newsletter. Somebody in there is bound to have parts for the 44US. Everybody in the Association seems to have at least two of them.

A friend of mine is a member and lets me read the newsletters. Unfortunately, I don't have one available at the moment.

I have a complete rifle but no spare bolt. If you find one and want a tack driver, take it to a gunsmith that works on rimfire target rifles and have him do a trigger job and find the "node" in the barrel and back bore to that point. Mine will now shoot CTC groups of less than 1/4 inch at 50 yards with ammo it likes.
