Recently, I purchased a 5 cavity NOE 311331 mold.
See link to the article here :

Many of you said that you'd like to see some range results with the bullet.

My shooting friend Bryan and I loaded 20 rounds up for his rifle and fired them in 10 shot groups at 50 yards. He fired 10 rounds , I fired the same load with 10 rounds at 50 yards also.

WOW ! ! We were both impressed , Needless to say that Bryan will be loading much more of this combination in the coming weeks.

Here is the plain base 311331 sized .311" and lubed with Ben's Red and rolled in 45 - 45- 10 , IT IS A SHOOTER ! !

Isn't it interesting that 2 people shooting the same rifle and the same loads end up with groups that have different impact points ? ? ?

Notice that with a " dead center hold " on the aiming square, my group was a bit lower than Bryans.

I assume that the tension and " hold " you have on the stock can cause this to occur ?

Exactly why I don't sight in rifles for other people. I also like to sight in using a position I will use in the field.

Wow, pretty awesome results. Care to share any data, or a little more about the rifle? With it being plain based, I imagine this is a pretty mild 06 load?

Thanks for posting, this stuff reminds me why I really like boolits!

Dan,

The data for the loads is listed in the photos.

As many details as I can offer on the rifle are also included in the photo.

The speed was around 1,150 - 1,200 fps. Yes, a mild load , but weighing 221 grains, and moving 1,200 fps , don't take it lightly. Still quite a bit of power in this load.

nobody would think it was weak if the same weight and speed was from a 4" 44 mag
