Flat nose top punch for .358

I am need a flat nose top punch for the lyman 4500 anyone know where I can pick on up at. I plan to use it with the lee .358 158gr flat nose bullet.

Get a nose punch with a BIG flat area. You can also use it for .40, .44, and .45.

I have sized thousands of flat nosed boolits using a piece of ¼" bolt about one inch long for a top punch. It works on multiple calibers too; I have used the same cut-off bolt for everything from a 257420 to a 452424.

If you want to get fancy, you can leave the head on, file it flat and turn it in a drill to closely fit the meplat of the boolit.

Brass bolts are easy to size with a drill motor and rough stone. Grind the face flat and cut off to 1" and you have a top punch to fit that die. I have two sizes so far.

I use a 1/4 in. bolt with the head smoothed off.

I agree, just recieved mine (top punches set of 3 from accurate molds) in the mail today. Very nice quality and at a very nice price. If you are using flat nose (semi or wad cutter) boolits then this is a great and cheap way to go
