I have never considered one of these rifles, even though I knew they were a good bit of kit. I was looking for a 375H&H Zustava and the only big bore in stock was a SS 9.3. On an impulse, I bought it thinking it would be a good Sambar rifle with boolits. Where we hunt these big Elk sized deer is in the Victorian Alps (well, they are not tall enough to be Alps or mountains, but we like to think they are, those danged Kiwis call them a paddock with it's back up) and it rains a lot there, so the SS and plastic stock should work well, especially scrabbling over and under the blackberries and crossing creeks, etc. Probably be a bit better mannered than the 375H&H.

What's a good mould for hunting?

NOE had a group buy and he may still have some, it was 280 grains. Tom at Accurate molds has several listed and will make whatever you want. It's a great caliber for sure.

I paper patch a Saeco #352, 245gr. 0.358" cast bullet to 0.368". No gas checks or sizing dies are used. It works well in my Ruger No.1 9.3X74R and has killed many large boar.

Good idea Rev, I have a swag of 357 moulds including a couple of 180Gn moulds. A bit light, but they will get me started.
