Looking for good honest opinions here. I'm shooting 1700 fps + with my .444 Handi-Rifle. Thinking about a harder lube. Pro's/Con's as to using Thompson's Blue Angel or Carnuba Red?

$1.75 a stick versus $4.00 a stick for similar performing lubes.
that is not a tough decision.
all weather consistent performance is the hard find in commercial lubes.
i'd not rule out randy rat's TAC. or speed green with 3% carnuba.

Just put a "stick" of Carnuba Red in my Star after running out of a pile of B.A. I bought years ago. I've been using Carnuba Red in my Saeco for a year or so and am well satisfied with it.

My experience with the hard lubes has been poor. In my Contender 444 Marlin barrel I used to use LBT BLue Soft on the Lee 310gr RFN at 1,800 fps. and it wrorked great with no leading.
I used Thompsons Red Angel and Magma and had bad leading with both. Carnuba Red is a geat lube but if you want something a little harder ask Glen for his Commercial blend.
