I have this one stamped with the Micogroove designation. Can anyone tell me the twist rate and maximum OAL for loading this?

The .41 Magnums had 12 grooves that were .072" wide and .0035" deep, with a 1 in 20" twist. Factory specifications for groove diameter is listed at .4107", but these barrels sometimes run a little bit larger than this.

I'm sorry to hear about your predicament. You'll probably never find anything that shoots well in that one so in the interest of community and public service, I'd be willing to take it off your hands and help you avoid all that frustration.
(if you choose to decline my offer of salvation, then I'm jealous too. Nice find.)

I have one and shoot everything out of it. I relieved the cartridge stop on the lifter and it will cycle the Lyman 410459 if you don't tip the rifle sideways. Have also have good luck with an LBT 255 gr and the Lyman 410426 240 RN. Pour a bunch of bullets and try and wear it out.

Thanks for the help; I'm going to try the Mihec 412640; I'll post if anything good comes of it. For the "jealous" guys, I'm with you; can't find an 1894 in .357 anywhere reasonable.

If no measurements taken, use a 0.413 sizer. Freebore at 0.413 in my Marlin is 0.200. Marlin states they have used only ONE button for all of their 41 maggie rifles, including the custom run for the Prescott AZ wholesaler where I got my gun. ... felix

Greetings
I have one of those Hex barreled CCB models. Load the fattest boolits you can. The Marlin throats are notorious for being fat.. Fattest I have seen. .412's will chamber in mine. Ranch Dod made a special 255 grainer just for Marlins.
The lifter work is good advice. If not you will be plauged with having to load light weight items. The other "solution" is to short trim brass which cuts your powder space so is a no fix to me. My carbine likes a 265 GC. Fat boolits pushed fast work well in mine.
Also check the chamber mouth for a very sharp edge. Mine had that condition. Would cut into boolits and scrape brass.
You may also find a "no throat" condition. Sometimes I have to wonder where Marlin got their chamber reamers for caliber.41 Magnum. They really chose to botch up a really good idea.
But once you get the conditions fixed they work well. Epecially if you are a caliber .41 enthusiist.
Once you get that caliber .41 shooting you can consider a 414 Supermag 336 !
