I'm kinda new to c&b pistols, I have a few Piettas, Just wondering about the quality of the ASM manufactured pistols? Any info would be appreciated.

I've had good ASMs and a great ASM.

I have a nice Walker from them I am really happy with the finish is good and it locks up tight.

The ASMs were "iffy" depending on the importer. The CVA, Red Head and others often weren't not to particular on quality control. The Cimarron, Hartford/EMF models were pretty good. They were comparable to better than the early Piettas which according to a gunsmith I know were "junk inside" (soft, rough parts). The Ubertis were tops of them all but lately Pietta had significantly upgraded their quality control.

I have 3 asm's dated from the 1970's to 1999
2 are cva(the 1978, and the 1999)

A review with photos can be found on here (an ugly girl that kisses good) http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?205781-An-ugly-girl-that-kisses-good

The quality in some areas was a little lacking (see the photos in the review) but having shot it, I have no intentions of selling it as it shoots as good as any revolver I currently own.
