Ben Avery in North PHX is the best range I have ever been to,the biggest thing I miss about living there. Also he should check out arizonashooting.com Its a excellent AZ shooting chatboard with a lot of very helpful people,he could easily find out about any clubs/matches from the guys there.
Artful, the range listed is in Casa Grande, not Coolidge. It has been new refurbished and is very close the Arizona City, also it's FREE.

And yes the public range is free and no Range Officer on Duty when I have been there.
I don't send 'em mail but can drive there...
- haven't been back since the border patrol cross fired from their range out on our gongs on the 350 yard line.
Yup, those guys on the police range side are annoying at times :^)
Great Zot! The Tucson range listed has been closed since the Clinton administration!

Really? which one - that's the problem when you do the google thing -
I thought I was out Sabino Canyon one last year or year before last -
So do you mean the Three Points Public Shooting Range?
I mean the Sabino Canyon range - you say you were out there a year or two ago? I guess I better check it out...

I was visiting in 2011 and a local took me out in his rig and said we were going to shoot out in Sabino Canyon so I assume that's were we went.
