Bought a 257463 single cavity on eBay and finally got to cast it today. Once it got to temp the Boolits just fell out, what a pleasure! Tim:bigsmyl2::bigsmyl2:

Count your blessings and buy a lottery ticket! Mine is a DC and it is a bit on the finicky side. Best results come with an off center swirling sort of pour. My wife thinks the boolits are "cute little boogers."

Small caliber molds (25 cal and under) can be a booger to cast with. With molds this size is the only time I use straight linotype metal. It's properties really help to fill out the cavities of these itty bitty bullet molds.

with the little guy's I turn down the speed of the alloy coming out of the pot then swirl it into the cavity's.
it fills at about the same amount of time as a bigger mold does and provides better venting.
I can get excellent 22 caliber boolits this way with little to no tin added to ww alloy.
it keeps the pace up too because it is almost a continuous movement, the only pause is to fill the mold with alloy.

Excess, my old single cavity drops .259-.260. I say old because the mold is an Ideal. Tim
