In a deal involving reloading supplies I obtained three boxes of Hornady .451 round balls. My question is, what do you use them in? When I shot .44 cal. cap & ball pistols we used .454 RB and if I remember corredtly, in my Ruger Old Army I used a .458 caliber RB.

They are used in most Italian .44 revolvers.
There are several people on here (myself included ) that would be happy to buy them off you for a Fair price.

Just let us know.

(Or use it for a reason to buy yourself an Italian .44)

45Bravo, I no longer own cap&ball pistols. We drive so far to get to the range there just isn't time to shoot them. The problem with selling the lead balls on line is the cost of shipping. They would fit in a SFR box if they were dumped into a plastic bag but otherwise they would have to go in a MFR box. The cost for that is now $12.35. What do they cost if you bought them in a gun shop?

Years ago when I bought a Lyman/Uberti 1858 Rem. new model army pistol it came with a Lyman .451" single cavity mold to make your own RB`s.Robert

The last .451's I bought were online from a friend who cast them and sells them, for $6 per hundred, plus $5 small flat rate box shipping.
I bought 500 for $35 shipped

I have about 50 balls left.

I don't know what they sell for in the local stores.

Just figure a price and someone will buy them.

45Bravo, If the .451 round ball can be bought for six dollars a hundred then what I have just isn't worth the trouble of packing and shipping, plus the gas required to get to the post office which is five miles away.

I completely understand that, but,
Not everyone buys their stuff from friends, some do buy from local stores.

I am suggesting, (if you want to)
Figure what is a fair price for your trouble, gas, and the balls, and list them here or other sites.

Some one will probably pay what you are asking.

In looking online at midwayusa, .451's are going for $14.49-$14.99 per 100 (when they are in stock)
Plus shipping.

So figure that price and it may give you a baseline of what you could ask for them.
