Ruger #1 front sight

Needing a lower front sight for a Ruger #1, I was concerned that the NECG replacement sights would not be compatible; the spring loaded retaining plunger is on the muzzle end of my factory sight. A call to NECG was helpful. The gentleman explained that their design used a set screw on the bead end of the sight. Sure enough, the NECG white bead insert is a perfect fit.

I replaced the factory one on my #1 Tropical in .458 with a NECG, and have had absolutely no problems with it.

I needed a taller front sight for my No.1 7x57 so I could reduce cheek pressure. I raised the rear and the front and XS sights helped with my particular case. If you need something talled than what NECG provides give XS sights a call.

+1 on XS Sights. In my opinion the XS Sights white-insert blade front sight is the best hunting sight there is.
