I posted this in the Cast Boolits forum for general comment but wanted to be more specific for my handguns.

I can't find 2400 but can find some Ramshot Enforcer. Is anyone her using is with boolits in 45Colt? If so, how does it work for you as it is right next to 2400 in the chart

Enforcer is one of my favorite powders for mid to upper Ruger only 45 colt loads as well as 454 Casull. Great powder that is very versatile more so than #9 in my experiences as it ignites easier and probably easier than any other ball powder in the burn rage area. I shoot mainly 300 + grainers out of my 45 Cal revolvers so I can really attest to much lighter of a boolit but it has proven to be very accurate and consistent for my usage.

What type/weight of boolits or bullets are you looking at reloading?

In my 45Colt Blackhawk mostly 200gr target boolits but I have several hundred 255gr lswc also so will be using some on those but the heavier stuff is reserved for W296 for the most part.
357Mag I'll be using 158gr most of the time.
2400 is very versitile so I'm wondering if a sub near it like Enforcer will work

Enforcer will be similar at the mid to mid-upper area but you can't down load it as far as 2400 without ignition issues especially in the larger 45 Colt case.

Hi Rob. So what is the velocity capability range of Enforcer in the 260 to 300gr range in the 45 colt case (Ruger only) mine is 5.5" barrel?
Is it hard to work up (consistant) loads uing Enforcer in 45?

Due to injuries I'm trying to keep recoil down as much as possible (pains a real bitch)!!

I feel like I'm putting you in a spotlight, so if you don't know fine, I was just wondering what Information you had, thanks.

Mid to upper is what I am looking for as I use Promo for low target rounds and w296/h110 for max loadings.

I have it as the same as AA4100, so you can use any of those loads you may find.

Enforcer/AA4100 is easier to work when using the heavier boolits. A 300 grainer or my 310 grainer can be run down around 1050-1100 fps and is a somewhat mild load recoil wise. 18 grains with a 300 grain boolit for a starting load is my mild 300 side with this powder but I like 20 grains at around 1200 fps which will get your attention but no where near a top end H110 load.

A 260 grain load is not as easy to load (lighter) and a person is going to be looking at 1200 fps as a probable minimum to have consistent ignition/accuracy. They may all go bang with a lower charge but it will probably not yield satisfactory results. IIRC I used 22.5 grains with a 260 grain LFN style boolit for around 1200 fps on the bottom side but found like others that the more powder I put in the case to reach around 25K pressure groups really tightened up. I think Enforcer/AA4100 is more flexible than AA#9 but not by a great deal; it is a slower ball powder so reducing loads do not work well and is why 2400 is a better alternative if a person is working at mid or a bit lower than mid loads. Enforcer is a nice powder starting at mid Ruger only loads and gets better as a person continues to work toward the mid-upper loads of published data...........so think a minimum of 20K pressures and works very well at 25-26K and above.

Ramshot Powder/Accurate Powder ie. Western Powders have a nice online data resource which as Ruger only loads with cast boolits.
