Wif collects Flobert .22's. One needs some lock work. Anyone know of a gunsmith who works on antiques?

Floberts have 3 different actions, Which Action do you have? Most of the screws are metric and can found easily. I have the Warnant style, the little trapdoor. Good shooters with CB's and CB longs. I took mine squirrel hunting once, had to get real close for a clean kill. I missed picking one up in 32 rimfire with set triggers and a nickled action. Still kicking myself over it.

All have the manual breech block that you lift in order to load.
She has one in .32 rf with the same breech. Wonder what can be done with it. The barrel is about 1 inch across the flats

The .22s take cb aps and are good to about 15 yards.

That's the Warnant action, the little trapdoor. They are not strong actions, the screw holes on the sides tend to elongate. 32 rimfire? I'm jealous. Barrels are soft, and I doubt ammo could be found at a reasonable price. It is possible to convert to centerfire but those are NOT strong actions.

Is if feasible to sleeve to a .22rf?

Where are you in the southern tier? I am in the Catskills and Long Island

Actually, I'm in the Southern Zone, and that was just a mistake I'm too lazy to fix. I'm just north of 84 in Newburgh. Yes, it is possible to sleeve the barrel. I hhave been reading the thread on making your own priming compound. I want to try it in my Hopkins and Allen 932 Junior boys rifle. You can convert the Flobert to a muzzle loader, but I have not found enough information to persue that idea yet!

Fellow at the range Sunday had a .32 rf Stevens #44. He had some .32cases that take a rf blank. He put in some BP and was plinking all day. Don't know if those cases are still made

Try Dixie Gun Works or The Single Shot Exchange. Dixie used to sell the 32/22 shells.
