This is by far my favorite 1911.

6" long slide 1911 in 10mm. Briley bull barrel. Recoil system set up to work with standard 5" springs. 3 3/4lb trigger. Tan and black cerakote.
Wonderful shooting gun. Under 2" at 50yds.

Pretty sweet! I've wanted a 10mm longslide 1911 for the longest. The ones I've priced are above my pay grade and wait times exceed my patience level.

Great gun porn. That is a really nice looking 1911 variant. Good job.

Very nice 1911's , I like the stainless with the black magwell. The safety fit up looks spot on , very nice indeed.

Perfessor, I certainly hope all is well and this is not something serious.
Take care and good luck.

Nice!

Next question: I see your pistol has the plastic insert "glow rod". Curious how many rounds you have through it at this time, Like the idea but having shot a bunch of front sites off 1911 platform guns I've been lery of making the change until I talk to someone with long term experince with this type of site.

Glad to see you used the dovetail mount to put it on, thats the best method I've seen to date for mounting a 1911 front site.

The rods blow out every 500 rnds or so. Fiber optic rod is cheap and easy to replace. I have about 7000 rounds donw the tube of the tan one. Just replaced the barrel.

Greetings
Both those 1911's are very nice and would be a joy to shoot.
Have owned numerous "custom" 1911 's over the years but my all time favorite is still the Remington Rand (1943) I fell into 15 years ago. It is loose, ugly and just like the one I carried for 19 months in the "pickle suit Brigade". Never fails to fire or opperate with any ammo it gets fed.
