Heating lube up in a pinch

Hey all,

recently just moved and do not have access to a double boiler set up, but I do have an oven, a mini toaster oven, and stove burners that are propane fueled...

which might be the best bet to use if I were to just stick my blocks of lube into say a cooking pan and let them melt, am I going to be at risk of "ruining" the lube due to burning it?

I use a toaster oven.

Providing your lube doesn't stink like industrial green and purple waste, just set the oven on 150 Degs and keep checking it, you'll be fine.
