OK, I have the new (1908) Marlin 30-30 that I will chamber cast and slug the bore.
New things for me to do (I have the cerrosafe and a brass rod) and will tackle it this weekend.
I would like to know what you think is the most accurate brass that is available for the 30-30. I'm not looking for benchrest results but since I have to buy new brass I want to get the best available.
This weekend I will be digging out the footlocker that has all my old reloading gear (at least 10 years since I touched it). I believe I have RCBS gear and a Dillon RL450. I am also considering trying the 310 tool. I believe I have 30-30 dies and brass from before. Sounds like I should get the factory crimp die as well.
I would like to know the main differences for selecting a gas check bullet design vs. a flat base or even a bevel base.
Back to square one on bullet lube also, how do you go about selecting the right lube?
