That's a great photo. Is that a 95 off to the left side of the full photo?

It's great to see guns like that in the field, ready to do what they're supposed to do.

I think it is a 95? I like pictures like these, they're fun. Reminds me of the stories I used to hear.

That's a Win 95 rifle and a 10 or 12 ga dbl. Nice photo.

Great old picture, things I see- #1- Mr. 95 with hands over muzzle and lined up on chin, shame, shame. #2- Those women folk got a dog that will bite your *** if you got up on that step. #3- That young man glaring behind her Pa's back is for sure thinking about stalking and shooting a dear! Thank God some things never change. Gtek

the 94 is a button or half mag.it looks longer because of the takedown. the rear sight is under his fingers. the pistolgrip has a cap.that was extra also.
i would say the 95 is a .30-40 cal. because of the barrel length.

In 1908. These were folks my Gramps stayed with for a while, A Mr. and Mrs. Doolie and son from around Roanoke , VA. Gave Gramps his first ride in a "tin lizzy" !
That lady doesn't look like she'd be trifled with !

It probably took the better part of a whole day just to get there. Now.... a three hour drive from where I live. Maybe 4... Great photo, Thanks.

The '95 is a second model, with the split lever and scalloped receiver. When you blow the photo up you can see the faint outline of the ebony inlay on the forearm. It is either a 30-40 or .303 as both were standard with the 28" barrel. The barrel is too long for the BP numbers which were 26".
