I'm looking for a 30 caliber (rifle) swager to test some jackets for me before I buy a bazillion of them in bulk.

The jackets are copper, 1.150 long, with a wall thickness of .014.

I'm only looking for 2 or 3 testers. If interested please shoot me a PM.

Just to clarify:

I do not want bullets in return. I am not the evil ATF guy trying to sting anybody. I want to buy my jackets and stuff in bulk while I wait for my dies, so all I need is for somebody to squish some lead in these and let me know whether they are decent, good, or great jackets.

Thank you.

First off, Where'dja git 'em. Those are Purdy. Might be in the market for a batch of them. Gotta get a core seat and point forming die for the 308. those are NICE!

Pm received.

I've got 3 testers and I'm happy, happy, happy. Hopefully these work well and I can bulk up on them.

Is there some place on the site where I can apply to be a beta tester so I don't miss all the cool tester stuff?

I know you've got your 3 folks.

That said, I just received a big box from Corbin yesterday, in it was my 30 cal 6 die set, and jackets and proper size lead wire.

So, if your jackets came from Dave Corbin, I'll know from personal experience shortly. And, they will be shot from an IBS Hunter class bench gun.

If they're J4's from Berger (or other suppliers, like Bruno's), I can already tell you they work well.

How did your test come out.

Alrighty. I need to get some picture posted, but I have received bullets and feedback from all three testers. The overall impression from the testers is that the jackets are very nicely made, were consistent, and made very nice bullets.

Now time to order a bazillion.

Why not share where they came from for the rest of us? :bigsmyl2:

They appear to be Sierras. Will you be using them as target bullets?
