Nominally 165 grain, GC.
I would like to hear of trials and tribulations with this boolit. Please share your experiences with it.

I will be interested in the responses to this thread also. I just cast some from one of the older moulds for my .32 Special, but haven't loaded them. I'm thinking it should be a dandy .32 bullet.

The 323470 is an excellent 8x57 bullet. I size them .325 and they shoot very well indeed in most any milsurp M98 with a decent barrel. The 323470 probably shoot better than about any other 8mm cast bullet except the 323471. Both also size down very well to .314, .316 and .318 for those odd size .31 rifles or the older 8mms. An excellent choice and I had no "trials" and no "tribulations" with it.

I'm blessed with this mold-it is oversize,drops.329 casts but because of that I can use it in 8x50 Lebel,8x56R and 8x57 Turkish Mauser. It shoots great in all 3.

My 323470 in 50% Pb / 50% WW with about 1-2% Sn, WQ'd drops at .323 - .324". Good enough, but I could use .325 in my 8mm-06. Typically shoot it in the 1800s and see 2 inch groups at 100 yds. Works OK, just not spectacular.

In a Win M94 .32 Special with 17 gr. 4759 it outshot any jacketed load, and was my go to bullet until I ordered a custom Mountain Molds 190 gr. flat nose design.

I've used it with absolutely no problems in the 32-40, sized .321, the 8mm Mauser, sized .325 and cast up some that were lubed and sized at .319 for an over size Moisin-Nagant. In my 1893 Marlin, no other boolit, cast, or jacketed has equaled it. The only fly in the ointment is that, like most Louverin designs, it can be a little finnicky to get good fill out. Run the mold fast and hot for best results.
