ANOTHER 300AAC question

This 300aac barrel is in my way so on a gun it goes. I looked at hornady 5th edition reloading book and all the info on the 300 whisper is almost identical with the internet info on 300aac. The dimensional differance is moot. I can interchange this info, correct?
Sure would make things alot easier, so far this is going great . Had a bunch of 222mag cases in my way and I used them and slugged the barrel (er shaw) now keep a keen out for sr primers.

For the most part, yes. Personally I use it as a guide. I think the difference is about 2/10 of case neck length. 300BLK can be loaded up from whisper data in MY experience.

Your biggest variation will come from the different brass. Run a few test loads over a chrony just to be sure.

Back off and work up your loads and you should be fine. Be wary of some of the whisper loads found on the internet, they are pretty warm.

300AAC BLK: Team, I am using WC 846 powder with 175gr Sierra Match HPBT and cut down military brass. Has anyone loaded this before, I know there have been a lot of posts but nothing very clear.

I am using 15.3 gr of the WC 846 and intend to chronograph the loads - unless I hear something back before the weekend - boom, boom, boom - just hope I don't blow the new freedom pill pusher!

300 whisper was the precursor to 30AAC. You can use whisper loads in aac but not the reverse. Ive been shooting them both since their inception. Im a huge fan of Lil gun for most of my needs.
