I am looking for smokeless load info for the 45-70 and 500gr-535gr. Lyman Handbook I have only goes up to 464gr.

What rifle? If it's a Marlin 95 try some 2400 in it starting at around 18gr and work up carefully.

Lyman #4 manual shows lower pressure loads for old Springfields, Remington Rolling block, Sharps type rifles and high pressure loads Ruger #1 and #3.

Lower pressure loads 5744 is most accurate starting @23.0 grains 1088 velocity, do not exceed 28.5 grains 1294 velocity

It also shows other powders sr-4759, 5744, IMR 4198, 2015, rx7, IMR 3031, n135, IMR 4895, Varget

What boolit, powder, and gun ?

The gun is a Uberti 1885 hiwall in 45-70. Powder is either 4198 or 3031. The bullet is 535gr postell.

Lyman 48th too. Up to 525 gr I think and like others mentioned separate sections for Trapdoors ,95s and Rugers.
