My son and I were thinking what could be used to finnish out a day in woods if the scope went bad. We are using weaver style bases and it seems alot of these new single sight(tv screen looking thing) would mount right on a base mount. Obviously we do not know anything about these sights but is something like this possible for under 100 bucks and good enough to shoot out to 100 yards accurately? In 40 some years of hunting only 1 time I had a scope failure(frost inside glass) and I had to walk back out to truck for backup rifle. So this is not a big deal but we are thinking!!!! Any experience you may have have in into these things for this type of application? (obviously we are talking of a gun with no sights on it except for base mounts)
