Well i have been playing with the Henry grass 30-30 and the GC cast FP from that gun.
Load is;
33.3 Grains of IMR 4831.
BLC-2 CCI primers
RCBS cast CG that weighed in at 190 grains lubed
Gun is the henry 30-30 brass receiver. With Trijicon 30mm 1-4 power scope.
This load is very accurate in this rifle with groups under 2" at 135 Yards.
5 shot string;
High- 1872 FPS
Low-1828 FPS
Average-1853 FPS
E-44
Standard Deviation-18 FPS
22 " of penetration in water soaked Phone books shot at 15 yards.
Bullet expanded nicely .497" recovered bullet and had retained weight of 117 Grains.
