Figured out I took the wrong ammo to the range on a recent trip to sight in the new scope on my 336 in 35 Rem, did it again today. [smilie=l: It shot OK the other day, just not the hunting load that it really likes. Only brought my rear bag today and the rifle range was pretty crowded. Main purpose was to meet someone but I wanted to shoot since I was already there. Thank goodness I'd packed my old Ruger MKI. Nothing like a little .22 therapy on a cool summer day.
Tomorrow we're shooting C&B revolvers, think I'll keep the MKI in the bag. :bigsmyl2:

Always great to get out and light some powder up and send some lead down the barrel. :)

Agreed, even better when the trip home takes a 40 mile detour by Cabelas. They had some paperwork I needed to fill out.:bigsmyl2:

Nothing exciting, had a synth stock Winchester 1300 marked too cheap @ $299. Cleaned up to look almost like a new one. Action and bore filthy but it cleaned up great. Pretty much unfired, just loaded & unloaded a bunch. Decided my old pistol grip 1300 car gun needed an upgrade. I buy clean 1300's whenever I see them and keep them handy. They shoulder perfectly for me and I'm very familiar with them.

Putting lead downrange is satisfying, even if it is not what you intended to shoot. A day at the range is always relaxing.

I have to be careful in Cabela's. I can "good deal" myself broke in a hurry!
