My shop is in the basement, and a few months ago, I had the floor redone. I bought a new metal bench for $50 from a liquidation place and remounted my presses onto it. I placed the bench under the window. I'm still rewiring the plugs and have not got everything where I want it yet.

On the right, you can see the bench/work area and what it looked like before I started putting everything away. I had stuff piled on the benchtop while the shelves were being installed. I'm 90 percent done now. Production has resumed.

This little table is where I have my wire cutter. I cut horizontally. The second picture is my first press, a Corbin Series II. I took the picture to show the rust on the press. If you look at the bottom of the press, you'll see it. That's why I had the basement redone. I had some small leaks and everything was damp. The house was built in 1946.

This is what the whole basement looked like just after they installed the new drainage around the foundation. What a mess! It's nice and dry now. The last picture is my 8 yr old grandson making a coat rack for my shop smocks. :)

Isn't it good to see the grands involved. Unfortunately mine now 17 live 150 miles away, has found comp. games more interesting than guns.

Thanks. I do most of my bullet work over the winter, so getting the shop finished now is a plus.

I think it's wonderful that he wants to hang out with his grampa! Like you said, will he feel that way when he's older? Probably not, but we're building more than bullets. We're building memories! Will he want grampa's collection of old junk, years from now? I sure hope so.

Perhaps your grandson will grow out of his games phase.
