Janet asked me to whoop up my special grillin' an' dippin' sauce and do some pork ribs on the Cast Boolits grill yesterday afternoon. When I brought 'em in, she said "You oughta' take a picture of that and post it!" "Yes Ma'am."

So, without further ado, as requested:

Where do you purchase meat like that?
The ribs we have available would have been baby ribs thirty years ago.

Ah, Jim. You are going to share your start to finish recipe with us right? My wife and I make a lot of the country style ribs also. One local grocery with an old fashioned meat dept runs them on sale here every couple weeks for 1.79 a lb. My wife will season them with Johnny's, fresh ground mixed pepper, dried apple slices (from our own apples) and dried onion also our own. She will slow cook them in the oven in a cast iron pot to get them fall apart tender and then finish them up on the grill with bbq sauce using a little hickory or apple wood. The garden is in full swing production right now and the ribs really set things off. Yumm.

I love country ribs. While they aren't ribs they have a lot more meat on them which is why I prefer them. I make mine in a PID controlled, it also controls my lead pot, electric smoker and let them slow cook over the course of a day. There isn't anything better to eat on a summer afternoon :)

"Country Style ribs" are cut off of the front shoulder and sliced in a rib like shape. Good eats.

Country style ribs are good deep fried too, flour up like chicken and cook at 350 until done.

See post #10 above. They're not spares, just Country Ribs cut from a shoulder. I really like cooking them better than spares.

Don't get too filled up. Janet's serving warm brownies topped with vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup.

I hope you made a bunch. I eat more than my size would lead you to believe.
