Have a new Frozone PID I am setting for the first time. Do I have to do more than set the desired casting temperature? The instructions contain every possible setting but are the basics set? Thanks

I also have a Frozone pid, love it BTW, but was initialy confused when reading the instructions. I did eventualy get the temp set to 725 and it nails it right there, plus or minus 1. But I got no idea how I did it. I ain't never gonna move it. Funny thing is I used to think a pid was a waste of money, time, just seemed like something that an anal nerd would need, but I bought one and you know what? I do need it, it's awesome, as nerdy as it is I would not do without it now.

frozone put together a real nice pid manual here:

The unit comes ready to go, and pretrained for a LEE 4/20.
It would still be best to retrain the unit on Your pot as small variations will be present.
The manual contains instructions on how to train the unit.
