A buddy took me up to a mountain pond, more like a mud hole really, and introduced me to dragon fly shooting.
What a hoot. I took 4-5 out of the air, at a hover, with my .38 with light WC loads. BTW, we were shooting down into the mud at a steep angle, so it was safe.
I remember someone here talking about making some loads for horse flies . They put a light charge of powder, added a GC put in some walnut media , added another GC and crimped the case. Sounds like fun, pass shooting dragon flies.
I did a search here for the thread. No luck. Anyone remember that thread and any thing about the load they used.
A link would be great....dale

Dont know if I would shoot tumbling media down the barrel of my pistol, but I seem to remember something about making shot loads for handguns this way. Try it with some #12 shot, or #9 if you cant find #12
