Need a big fat bullet for a 45/70

Lee, LBT, Accurate Molds, RCBS,.... There's lots of good ones. Is your gun a Marlin? Veral Smith at LBT makes a bullet profile specifically for them.

How fat? :) After a little lapping (about 30 min.) my Lee 405 h.b. is dropping at .462+, which I need for the Trapdoor, and if I go gentle on my grip I can get .464 and reasonably round. With the right dia. sizer I can get any dia. I need from .460 to .464 with this mold. Alloy matters to. Pure lead drops closer to .460 and Lyman #2 drops the above diameters. Audie....the Oldfart..
