.

A pic or description of the stampings, and some additional info like bore diameter & bbl length would help, since there's a few to choose from:

1) 6.5×52mm Model M91 TS, carbine w/17/7" bbl

2) 6.5×52mm M91/24, carbine w/17.7" bbl

3) 6.5×52mm Speciale M91/28, carbine w/17.7" bbl

4) 7.35x51 Model 38 short rifle w/20.9" bbl

5) 7.35x51 Model 1938 TS, carbine w/17.7" bbl

6) 6.5×52mm Model 1938 (stamped "1940") short rifle w/20.9" bbl

.

Come on, we can do better than that!

It's an 1891 Moschetto Modello 91 per Truppe Speciali, aka 1891 carcano carbine for special troops. As said, made in Brescia, one of the long running arsenals making these guns.

I will add to what jonk correctly states. The circles and cross are an accuracy mark given to rifles somewhat more accurate than average.

Your rifle retains its basic WWI configuration, but was arsenal refurbished by havin the bottom sling swivels removed and having side sling mounts installed instead. I have one nearly identical, made in 1913. The rear side mounted sling attachment cuts right through the original arsenal stock brand. Oh-well. It is still a great rifle, in the configuration it would have been used in fron 1930 thru 1945.
