Bored on Friday evening, I have a couple of dozen donated battery terminals sitting around the house as well as my new burner, mold (purchased from ACrowe25 - thx very much!), dipper and cast iron pan. Thought, why not melt a 4-5 terminals and see what happens. Attached is what happens :)

BTW, note to noobs (like me), make your very first castings with an already used mold. It's already broken in and starts making good boolits right away (not that my other brand spanking new molds wouldn't do the same, but removing variables is how we make things work, right away). And, get a 'heavy' dipper, otherwise your lead cools too fast, before you can get it in the mold.

OK, NOW we have you! :) Some right good production there, sir. It is a good boolit design that shoots very well for me in all of my 45 caliber handguns, both 45 ACP and 45 Colt.

Thanks to all for the kudos, for sure you're right about needing more stuff now - to wit, I now have a .452 sizer on the way :)

And, upon further review, it seems that this is a great pure lead boolit for my 1911. I predict a quick 100 projectiles in my near future.
