76645Attached is a picture of a Lee 452 200 gn SWC after a trip throug an Lyman 45. A few observations:

1) My lube White Label 50/50 is streaked with old lube...no problem
2) Bullet is being pushed too far down and lube is coming out after last driving band
3) I think it took the better part of a stick to fill up the lube reservoir and
I think I need to add another stick before I drive the nut off the pressure nut
off the screw trying to keep enough pressure on the lube.

Are my observations right and how do I adjust the amount a bullet can be pushed into the sizer die?

There is a threaded rod underneath the die with a locknut on it. Screw it in(clockwise) to lessen how far the boolit goes in.

I just came up with another question. Which direction does the pressure nut face on the rod" Flat surface down or recess area of the nut? When I took it apart the first tiome the flat portion of the nut was facing up. I still had plenty of lube left in the sizer.

The skirt goes down. The O ring style nut for Lyman's newer sizers will fit and it's a worthwhile upgrade.

Thanks, I had it right but wasn't sure. What is a good source for the new O ring style nut?

Thanks for the info. It took me awhile but here is what I ended up with with no exess lube anywhere. Looks like I might need to warm things up to get a little better fill.

an easy and cheap way to add a bit of heat is with a trouble light or something similar. Put it right up against the 45 and give it a bit of time. If you leave it there too long it will turn the lube into liquid--no good.
Right now it Texas we don't use much heat as it's around 95-100* during the day--just a touch of heat is needed.

good luck but you seem to be there already

My stuff is set up in the basement which stays pretty cool all year around. I look for a light to warm things up a little. I don't think it will take much.

The light/lamp works great. Just don't turn it on and forget about it with pressure on the lube. The heat can eventually cause the reservoir tube to bulge rendering it useless. Don't ask me how I know!
