MiHec 454640 brass two or four cavity cramer hollow point mold
This is second run of this design in a MiHec mold. It casts out at 0.454"or a little above and sizes easily to 0.452". The original runs were in a Lee GB and BRP molds that have shot very accurately in everything we've tried it in.

This GB is Closed.....

For the two cavity Cramer HP, the price is $85 with one set of pins included plus $8 per extra pin set if wanted plus $15 shipping.

For the four cavity Cramer HP, the price is $120 with one set of pins included plus $16 per extra pin set if wanted plus $20 shipping.

Cramer Pin options: 1) Large HP, 2) Penta HP, 3) Small HP, 4) Cup HP, 5) Blank pin for flat nose

Sequence of events: Participants order molds and are placed on the list, the Group Buy will close (which will be posted on the thread) at some time determined by MiHec, the molds are made from the orders on the list at the time it is closed or by altering what you want via PM to MiHec after it's closed. Extra molds should be available... order them by PM to MiHec. Invoices will be sent out via e-mail from the listed addresses and you pay by using Paypal...... It is my understanding the invoice will be in Euros which Paypal converts from Euros to dollars. After you pay, the mold gets shipped.

I would say this is the completely wrong mold for loading .45 ACP ammo. I guess it could be done but the 452-200 would be a far better mold:

No, only in cramer form...... you can get a solid via the blank pins though.

This boolit has been fired in Winchester, Marlin and Browning 45 Colt rifles. It hasn't had trouble stabilizing in any of them yet.

Sometimes, that is not a question you get an answer to. In this case, nothing about the mold has changed, so I would expect he could do this if you PM him at the time the GB closes.

Mine was at the PO this morning. Haven't even opened the box yet. Too cold and wet to cast right now.

The rain slowed to a fine mist a couple hours ago and I turned the pot on. I put the cup and small HP pins in the mold, put a set of handles on it, preheated it on the kitchen stove, then took it outside when the pot was hot; a few seconds with a propane torch pointed at the pins had them almost hot enough; a few pours later it started dropping nice, pretty bullets. I still don't have the hang of brass molds, but I'm close, and in a short period of time I had 50-60 bullets piled up and most of those looked good enough to shoot (haven't sorted yet).

I pulled one of each type and weighed them a minute ago; the cup HP weighed 270.2 grains, from a 50-50 mix of COWW/SOWW with a little tin (1.5% or so). The small HP weighed 269.8 grains.

I just cast with the Penta pins, WW nothing added, 259.8 to 260.5 over 20 boolits.
All are .454 to .455, cant ask for better than that in my book. Gona be a bit before I can shoot any.

Got mine and it looks amazing. I have the hex pins installed and ready to cast some boolits next weekend for both my Ruger Redhawk and Rossi Ranch Hand.

Heated mine up this afternoon for the second time. This time I put the cup HP in both cavities, and cast a pile of bullets fairly quickly. The mold is a little sluggish to release; I think that in time a coat of oxidation will help that, but it drops some very pretty bullets. Very pleased with it.

Those of you who have cast a few from the mold - what is the overall length of the bullet? The diagram on the first page shows the distance from crimp groove to meplat, but I need to know overall bullet length.
