I cannot find this mold for sale. It seems to be out of stock in every place I check. To add insult to injury, I have a search in eBay that emails me daily and this morning one is listed for a buy it now of over a hundred dollars......

What am I missing here? I buy Lee two cavity molds from time to time and they usually cost between $20 and $30 each plus the shipping. Is this suddenly the go to bullet mold to have or something? I realize I'm jumping into the milsurp Mauser game way too late but still I find it odd that this mold isn't just hard to find but selling for a goofy price tag at auction. [smilie=b:

EVERYTHING has a nut-bag price tag right now. Give it a little time. I remember seeing that one quite a bit right before the storm.

From my experience, it is a good solid performer in 8mm with minimal development. It just works and is easy to have fun with. I have shot them as cast with the gas check just sort of glued on with Liquid alox over 11 to 13 gr of Herco and could hit clay pigeons on the bank at 50 or 60 yds. I would offer the loan of my mold for your use to cast up a couple of hundred if you would return it with a $6 in the package to cover my postage. I mail these molds in a flat rate envelope usually and it seems to work out well. Maybe it would get you over the hump.

Frkelly74, thank you so much for the info and offer, but JonB is selling me one.

It was just unusual to see them so out of stock EVERYWHERE and then to see scalper prices at auction when you can still buy at regular pricing all the .309 sized molds you want... Maybe they are just out of production for now until they catch up with the heavy seller items. It is good to know that these tend to work well with minimal working up as the 205gr version has been a bit of a bugger for me.

I think you will not regret your purchase. And Jon is good to deal with!

Still odd that this mold is so sold out. I can find the Lee 7mm and .338 molds listed in several places for decent prices. But this one... It's just strange. Hope that's just because of how good it is...

I have that boolet in an older single cavity mold and it's a great performer. I'm also patiently waiting for a new 2 cavity to come back in stock because i want to plain base my single cavity to make a plinking boolet.

I've actually thought about trying to drill out one of them for a plain base.

Have any of ya'll tried putting a post in the Wanted to Buy section? Mind ye I'm not being a smarty pants....I'm just asking. In any case if this is the Lee 90274 mold (C324-175-R) and you'd like a single cav to get rid of the gas-check and try....send me a p.m.! There are molds for sale but we have to know what you're looking for. Audie....the Oldfart..

My original intent was to wait it out and order one when they come back in stock again. I just couldn't figure why I could find every single other rifle bullet mold but this one. I found that very strange.
